Steve Brannock Presents At Advanced Administrative Law Seminar

Along with Judge T. Kent Wetherell of the First District Court of Appeal and Administrative Law Judge Andrew D. Manko of Tallahassee, Brannock & Humphries shareholder Steve Brannock spoke about appeals from administrative agency action at the 2019 advanced topics seminar presented by the Florida Bar’s Administrative Law Section, Environmental and Land Use Law Section, and Government Lawyers Section.

This event is an annual continuing legal education program designed for administrative law specialists around Florida, including lawyers who work for state agencies.  The day-long program featured presentations on administrative litigation, appeals, rulemaking, exhaustion of administrative remedies, and an update of legislative and uniform rules.

Mr. Brannock’s portion of the seminar focused on appellate issues that are unique to administrative law.  His presentation included a discussion of the different standards of review that may apply, common preservation problems, and rules related to raising constitutional challenges.
