Ms. Carlin served as pro bono counsel for a number of organizations in the Jacksonville area, including the Fourth Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Office, Jacksonville Legal Aid, and Jewish Family Services. She also served as a Board Member of the Environmental Resource Council. Ms. Carlin has remained active in her adopted town of Buffalo, Wyoming, and volunteered with the Empty Bowl Project for the Bread of Life Food Pantry, which has since been discontinued, and is currently President of the Dan Carlat-Occidental Jam Memorial Scholarship Fund and a Board Member for the Kearney Community Hall Restoration Project.
Ms. Carlin is a former founding shareholder of Mills & Carlin, P.A., an appellate law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, currently known as Creed & Gowdy, P.A. Prior to forming Mills & Carlin, P.A., Ms. Carlin was a litigation partner in the Jacksonville office of the national law firm of Foley & Lardner, where she developed an exclusively appellate and trial support practice. Ms. Carlin also previously served as a pro bono attorney for Jacksonville’s Guardian Ad Litem and Legal Aid programs.
Ms. Carlin received her B.A. with honors from the University of Florida in 1985, and her law degree with honors from the University of Florida College of Law, now known as the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1988. She is a member of the Order of the Coif.
