Ms. Luka is an active member in the Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church and is a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of America.
Before joining Brannock & Humphries, Ms. Luka clerked for the Honorable Emmett R. Cox at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. After her clerkship, Ms. Luka practiced at two nationwide firms, litigating both criminal and civil matters. This litigation experience gives her a unique perspective in assisting trial counsel in formulating legal strategies, drafting substantive legal motions, and ensuring proper preservation of error for purposes of appeal.
Ms. Luka graduated from the University of Florida with a 4.0 grade point average where she earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Mass Communications. Ms. Luka then attended, on full scholarship, the University of Florida College of Law, where she earned her J.D. with high honors, graduating second in her class. While in law school, Ms. Luka served as the Symposium Editor of the Florida Law Review. She was also a member of the Order of the Coif, and her academic accomplishments included Book Awards in Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Negotiations, Mediation Law, Property Law, and Trial Practice.
