Ms. Berman is a hands-on participant in the Tampa community. She has been a longtime community volunteer with the Junior League of Tampa, where she has served with organizations such as Connected by 25, the Children's Cancer Center, and Joshua House. Ms. Berman also recently completed service on the Board of Directors of the Henry Mitchell Elementary Foundation, Inc., where she served as the Foundation's Secretary. Additionally, Ms. Berman is a member of the Woodrow Wilson Middle School Parent Teacher Association, and she completed five years of service at Mitchell Elementary as a weekly tutor to a student. Ms. Berman is a member of the Tampa Gator Club. She was previously a member of the Executive Committee of the University of South Florida's Women in Leadership & Philanthropy, and in the past she has actively volunteered with organizations such as Dress for Success and Dream a Dress.
Before joining Brannock & Humphries, Ms. Berman was a shareholder with the statewide law firm Fowler White Boggs, P.A., now Buchanan, Ingersoll and Rooney P.C., where she specialized in appellate practice and served on both the Writing Committee and the Associate Evaluation Committee.
Ms. Berman earned her B.A., with honors, in 1997 from the University of Florida. She earned her J.D. in 2000 from the Georgetown University Law Center. While attending the Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Berman received the CALI award of excellence in Trial Practice and acted as the Business Editor of the Georgetown University Law Center Immigration Journal.
